I love Contact North. I could not have done it without them. Not only was I able to raise my daughter, go to school part-time but I was also able to have another baby. The instructors were very understanding. When I told them I would be off for a couple of weeks due to the birth of my child they offered and provided
support so that I could take some time off. My professors offered to send me any class materials through either the Cochrane Contact North Centre or via e-mail. If I can do this, anyone can. When I first started I was afraid of computers. Now I use them for everything. The technology at Contact North makes it a convenient way to learn. It does not create a boundary to learning, it improves it. The instructors are very helpful and are extremely fair and understanding. They take the time to make sure everyone understands. When the local dentist was about to retire, I knew my Dental Assistant job was about to end. There was no other dentist in town. I needed retraining to obtain gainful employment. With three young children, traveling out of town to further my education was not an option.

Contact North was a perfect solution for me. I was able to stay in the same community with my children while obtaining a two-year Educational Assistant diploma. I am currently employed by the Superior Greenstone District School Board and thoroughly enjoy my new career. — Lisa, Nipigon
