Audioconference Classes Contact North
Each of Contact North’s Access Centres is equipped with audioconference equipment that allows you to access the Audioconference Classes.
What does this really mean for you, the student?
- Audioconference virtual classrooms via Contact North are simple and easy to use.
- The student is provided with a quiet room equipped with a convener conferencing unit and a microphone or microphones.
- The instructor, who is trained in Audioconference delivery, will instruct the students the first day of class on Audioconference protocol.
- At a set time, usually 5 to 10 minutes before class, the student or students are logged into the conference call by a helpful Contact North staff member.
- The bridge operator will ask the student or our staff to identify the course code and their location. Once connected, the operator announces the location that has joined the conference.
- Once classes begin, the instructor acknowledges the locations that are on line and proceeds to take attendance.
- During the course delivery, he/she will often refer to the location or student by name and ask questions. The same way an instructor would in the classroom.
- Audioconference virtual classrooms are an excellent way to learn!
